DMC 3845 to J&P Coats: Thread Conversion

J&P Coats 7001 is a close match for DMC 3845 Medium Bright Turquoise. This same conversion number covers both 3845 and 3846, meaning J&P Coats doesn't maintain a distinct shade between these two adjacent DMC values — the lighter turquoise step is effectively lost in the J&P Coats range. If your project uses both 3845 and 3846 as distinct values in a gradient, sourcing from J&P Coats will reduce or eliminate the separation between them. For projects that use only 3845 as a standalone turquoise color without the adjacent 3846 step, J&P Coats 7001 is a perfectly adequate substitute for the vivid medium turquoise role.
