J&P Coats 6258 is a close match for DMC 905 Dark Parrot Green — the same number listed as the equivalent for DMC 904 (Very Dark Parrot Green). Because J&P Coats uses a single thread to approximate both the very dark and dark parrot green values, gradient work distinguishing between these two steps isn't possible with J&P Coats alone. For standalone use of 905 as a dark foliage fill or backstitch color, J&P Coats 6258 is workable in most applications where the precise step relationship to adjacent parrot greens isn't critical.
