DMC 319 to Anchor: Thread Conversion

Anchor 1044 is a close match for DMC 319 Very Dark Pistachio Green. The dark value and warm-green character of 319 are represented well in the Anchor equivalent, making it a reliable substitution for the shadow-green and deep-foliage applications where 319 most commonly appears. For botanical designs where 319 anchors a five-step pistachio gradient, sourcing all five Anchor pistachio equivalents together (rather than mixing Anchor and DMC) will give you better temperature consistency across the gradient. If your design uses 319 solely for backstitch outline work over lighter fills, Anchor 1044 performs well in single-strand outline applications.
