Cosmo 504 is a close match for DMC 3805 Cyclamen Pink with a hue that reads within the cyclamen pink family reliably. Cosmo threads have a slightly silky quality that gives stitched areas a subtle sheen not present in DMC's matte cotton, and at this vivid mid-value pink the effect is noticeable: filled areas in Cosmo 504 look somewhat more luminous than the same design filled in DMC 3805. This is a tradeoff rather than a flaw. For cyclamen florals, tropical accent work, and modern pop-art style designs where visual vibrancy and punch are the goal, the added surface brightness from Cosmo's thread character can actually be advantageous, making the pink read as more intensely colored than a matte equivalent. For designs where surface texture consistency across threads is important — particularly when mixing Cosmo 504 with DMC threads in directly adjacent fill areas within the same piece — the sheen difference is visible at close inspection, most noticeably where the two brands share a boundary in the same row or adjacent rows. Cosmo's soft thread hand is comfortable for extended gradient fills and ombre backgrounds. For gradient sequences pairing with DMC 3804 and DMC 3806, using Cosmo consistently across all three shades maintains internal gradient coherence better than mixing Cosmo at the 3805 position with DMC at the flanking positions.
