For a piece where 816 is doing precise shadow work or garnet-family gradient shading alongside 814 and 815, testing Cosmo 245 on your specific fabric before committing to large fill areas is the practical precaution. The sheen difference in a rich red color is more visible than it would be in a muted or pale color: under display lighting, a slightly shinier garnet reads as a slightly different red than the adjacent matte garnet, and this difference is noticeable in gradient shadow work where smooth, even transitions are the goal.
