Easter — DMC Color Palette Guide
Easter cross-stitch is all about softness — pastel eggs, baby chicks, white bunnies, and the first flowers of spring. The Easter palette leans heavily on tints (colors mixed with white) that feel gentle and hopeful. Getting the balance right means choosing pastels that are soft enough to feel springlike without looking washed out on your fabric. These palettes cover every Easter motif from eggs to Easter lilies.

Tips for Using This Palette
- • Easter pastels look best on white or off-white aida — the pale colors can disappear on colored or darker fabric.
- • For Easter eggs, stitch each egg in a different pastel grouping to create that classic multi-colored egg basket look.
- • Baby chicks need just 3 colors: a warm yellow body (DMC 726), a slightly deeper yellow shadow (DMC 725), and DMC 310 for the tiny beak and eye.
- • Easter lilies are one of the most rewarding florals to stitch — use DMC Blanc for petals, DMC 3078 for the throat glow, and DMC 166 for stems and leaves.
- • Avoid pure white backgrounds for bunny outlines — use DMC 3865 (Winter White) or DMC 762 for shadow definition instead.
